I am a hand weaver and textile designer working from my garden studio In Somerset UK.

Here, I draw on the inspiration from everything around me. The coloured cones of yarn that almost line the entire perimeter of my interior walls and the beauty of my garden surroundings extending out to the stunning views of the Somerset countryside. These sources of inspiration bring me into a feeling of presence.

My textile journey started as a child. The need to be making in a very creative way was always very present.

    Scarves

My scarves are finely woven using only natural yarns. Typically mercerized cottons, silks, linens and merino wool can often be found in the same scarf.

I weave using various techniques, using different subtle colour changes in each scarf makes each one unique and individual. Each piece is crafted with care and attention to detail.

    Rugs & Wall Hangings

Every rug and wall hanging I make is viewed as an individual creative piece that’s been brought to life by both the client and the maker.

They have massive potential to influence interiors. Over the years I occasionally get asked ‘can the rug be adapted to the wall to make a wall-hanging’ which of course it can!

    Commissions

The commissioning is a wonderful journey between client and maker. The journey can start right here. Please do get in contact by finding the details on the contact page.

If you live nearby, I love to do a site visit, and the details can be shared within the chosen space. Otherwise, the process can be done via email or over the phone.

  • The colours in the photo of my scarf just hint at the richness of the greens, greys and soft blue yarns woven in such a beautiful pattern with the contrasting daffodil yellow. The lambswool makes for a very soft and supple hand feel in this medium weight scarf. It is lovely to the touch and cosy on bare skin without any scratchiness. The parcel was well wrapped and arrived in good time. So pleased with this exceptionally beautiful and skilled hand weaving. Thank you, Sarah!

  • I purchased this scarf as a gift and I will have a hard time giving it away! It is exceptionally lovely! The weave structure is interesting on both sides of the scarf. The photos of Sarah's work do not capture the full beauty and texture of her work. Sarah is a very talented artist. It was a joy to communicate with her.

  • I bought two scarves of different colour palettes because I fell in love instantly with her colour palette of her scarves, and the blend of natural fibers. I couldn't just choose one! The whole experience was just amazing working with Sarah online. She is so kind and thoughtful. The scarves are more beautiful in reality when they arrived. Sarah is an extremely talented weaver and I am very happy with my purchase! Excellent quality made with such care. Also, I live in California, and they arrived quite quickly for such a long distance!
